Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been around for about 4000 years and is an effective and painless (really) way to deal with stress. It involves inserting very small needles into acupuncture points and can be as simple and quick as five needles in the ear (NADA protocol). It can quickly and effectively treat hyperarousal and dysregulation, and its effects can last up to 72 hours. It has been shown to be as effective a treatment as Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Posttraumatic Stress syndrome, whose hallmark is emotional dysregulation and extreme behavior.
